Dreams do come true!

As Walt Disney is often quoted, "Dreams do come true" I second that notion, and testify. It happens!
Here's a word to think about that I don't like that much.

accept |akĖˆsept|

verb [ trans. ]
consent to receive (a thing offered) he accepted a pen as a present.
• agree to undertake (an offered position or responsibility).• give an affirmative answer to (an offer or proposal); say yes to he would accept their offer and see what happened [intrans. Tim offered Brian a lift home and he accepted.• dated say yes to a proposal of marriage from (a man) :Ronald is a good match and she ought to accept him.• receive as adequate, valid, or suitable the college accepted her as a student credit cards are widely accepted.• regard favorably or with approval; welcome the Harvard literati never accepted him as one of them.• agree to meet (a draft or bill of exchange) by signing it.

With that being said. I received my envelope, the official envelope that I didn't think I was going to get for another 2 weeks. But Indeed I got it. Ran home. Said somewhat of a speedy prayer went something like," Thy will be done, Amen" And I tore the envelope open, skipped the "Dear Gabriela" part, and went to the first line
Congratulations on your Acceptance into the Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education program at Dixie State College of Utah
I contained my real excitement for about .5 seconds, and then freaked out. I finally knew what I was doing with for the next two years. Thank goodness. If you know me, I am a planner, and when I don't know what my plan is or what to plan for, I get nervous.
So as far as that goes, I am in. I'll be a teacher! I can't wait. Seeing how I dream of decorating my classroom and all, like on a daily basis.

I'm still waiting to hear back about EFY counseling, I have no idea why it's taking so long, I only know one person who got a letter back and everyone else is still waiting. I guess my patience is being tested this time of year to the max.
So those are a few good things going on.
I know that I probably say that in like every post, but it's the little things that make me happy.Like the other day I made a cake, made me happy until I didn't get to eat a piece of it. But then I got to make another one with my friend Kyle, and that made my day. And Natalie left me a note in my office yesterday which just made life that much better. I found a Valentines day Card that looks like this :
It says Whooooo's my Valentine. And on the inside it says you. With two owls on the front. I'll probably just keep it for myself to get a good giggle every now and then, but I thought it was so cute! Oh! And another thing. People must be in good moods like me more often now, because I've never had a door opened for me by the male species more than has been done in the past week! Something is in the air, and I like it! And then just the little things in general, like when people say thank you. Goodness two words mean so much to me you don't even know.

So besides all of that stuff, I leave for Hawaii in 85 days! But who's counting right?
Rumor has it that President Monson is coming to speak at graduation this year. For those of you who may not know who that it, he's the leader of the LDS church, and is a wonderful man. He tells stories like no one else I've ever heard from.
Connie and I went to Vegas last weekend to go shopping. People thought we were 14..and then 16. Yeah we are cool. I'll like to hear that when I am 30! Not now thanks!

People have been asking me a ton about Florida lately. Makes me home sick too. Just a bit, only because I really want some homemade orange juice, and go to the beach, and smell the salt water, and see and feel the sand. It's like nothing else, and when you go without it, you realize how much more you like it. I wish I could go home sooner than later. I'm hoping that I can go home in May. After I go to Hawaii. Or before Fall semester.
School is going well, I had my first test this past week. Hopefully I did well on it. I seem to run on no sleep, and hardly any breaks. I don't mind it, but sleeping it would be nice for once. One day...
Student Gov't it going great! I love it. Elections are coming up! We have a lot going on, it's super exciting. We went up to Salt lake for the Centennial Celebration of Dixie, and it was quite the experience to say the least. Up and back in 22 hours. No sleep. I was beyond tired. But it was an awesome opportunity to meet important and fancy people in the Legislature.

Since I have been accepted into the ELEMED program, I will be going to summer school again. I can't wait for 2012 summer when I actually don't have to attend school! First time ever. 2 straight years of school..can't believe I'm doing this. Actually it will be three by the summer of 2012! Crazy!
Anyway I can't wait to go to Hawaii, I will deserve that trip by the time it comes around! 84 more days! But who's counting.
One note: Valentines Day: Hurry up and pass please.  Don't remind all of us single ladies exactly how pathetic and single we are. Thanks. Oh and To Cupid stay away from me. Thanks

Bottom line is: Life is Beautiful!
